Inner Glow- What & Why?

What is the Inner Glow and why is it important?

-Inner Glow is your internal glow. It's who you are on the inside. 

  • Do you happen to complain a lot and see the world in a negative light? Or do you see beauty in the little things and positively look to the future ahead, even if it seems like everything is crashing down? 

We all have ALOT to complain about these days. We complain about money, gas, jobs, coworkers, bosses, teachers, school, friends, kids, partners, spouses and the list NEVER ends.

Negativity Kills: 

We all have our days when we want to vent. However, when is it too much? Answer: It's too much when you see yourself feeling more upset and not content. Every negative thought and word that comes out of your mouth carries energy. The more negativity that comes from you, the more negative you become, the worse you begin to feel. It not only kills your mood, but can potentially cause different health issues. Multiple studies done showed that those with a negative mindset were more likely to develop different diseases and their bodies were slower to heal. 

Positivity Builds: 

A positive mindset builds, heals and gives us a glow that no one can take away.

In the Bible, Philippians 4:8 (NIV) Paul says: Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 

When our mindset changes and we view everything from a positive stand point and begin to see the world in a different perspective. We begin to treat others better. We also begin to appreciate life more, are more happier and content. When we begin to have a positive mindset we believe the impossible can be possible. Our brain also creates new neural pathways and we begin to think of solutions that we normally wouldn't. 

How do I get a positive mindset?

#1: Mind Transformation 

Its impossible to force yourself to develop a mindset that lasts. It requires a supernatural mind transformation. This mindset change is only possible if you surrender your life to Christ. 

Naturally all of us are born into sinful body. Sin is anything that brings death to our soul. This includes pride, lust, selfishness, anger, greed, jealousy, gluttony, laziness and others. We get hurt by others and we hurt others. All of these cause a negative mindset. All of these things separate us from God.

You need to understand that Jesus Christ loved you so much that he was willing to suffer and be tortured just to save you from an eternal separation from God. Even though Jesus was tempted in sin, he never committed sin. He then rose again from the dead to prove that he defeated death and was victorious overall all sin. He can help us overcome all sin and negativity. 

Prayer: "Jesus please reveal yourself to me. Help me understand how much you loved me. I understand that I committed sin in my life and want to be cleansed from it. I believe that you died for me on the cross because you loved me and didn't want me to be separated from you in eternity. I also believe that you rose again in victory and defeated death and sin. Please help my spiritual eyes to open up and see your love, goodness and mercy. Help me develop a love for you." 

#2 Daily Abiding in Him 

Daily abiding in Jesus, means to develop a one on one relationship with him. You can develop this by asking him to reveal his heart to you. By reading the Bible (God's Word) and praying, you will develop a deeper understanding of Jesus's nature. You will begin to see things in your life that need to be removed because they prevent you from getting close to Jesus, who is that spiritual light. 

Prayer: "Jesus please reveal your heart to me. Guide me into a deeper understanding of you. As I read the Bible, please open up to me about the changes I should make in my life, so I can continue to get closer to you. Please continue to transform my mindset so I can have peace and joy." 

#3 Community 

A community of like minded people is essential in having growth and continuing in a positive mindset. You can look into any local community groups or Christian churches that are near you and begin to attend weekly. Your church community will help you grow in your walk with Christ. They will provide that encouragement that you need in order to develop that healthy mindset 

Prayer: "Jesus please guide me to a church that is focused on you, so that I may grow spiritually. Help my mind be open to what you want to teach me."
